Usable settings for DELL E228WFP 22″ TFT monitor

I’ve been using this monitor for a couple of days now. The default settings are quite unusable (too bright, too red/yellow).

Settings I found to be usable (probably specific to my exact panel and my graphics adaptor – so this post mainly serves as a place to “backup” those settings for me, in case I accidentally reset the monitor).

Brightness
Brightness 45
Contrast 85
Image Settings
Pixel Clock 50
Phase 28
Color Settings
User Preset
Red 75
Green 80
Blue 100

  • umm are you using vga or something? bc thats what pixel clock and phase are for…. so like… switch to dvi and maybe you’ll get a better picture

i know all in all its not supposed to make a big difference
    but on mine it does

  • Yes, I’m using VGA, since both my laptop and my netbook don’t have DVI out.
